Lunch at Portillos:
Adam grew up with 4 sisters (3 older and 1 younger) - so he was used to the feeling of various boys coming to the house and finally those boys marring his sisters. So he was a little more sensitive to how Matt and Robby would feel about this whole ordeal. He called Matt in the afternoon and asked what he was doing for lunch. Matt caught the implied importance of the call and through a full mouth of food, said "No plans." So they scheduled to meet at Portillos (location of Adam and Andrea's first "date"). The 3 boys meet and ate while talking about movies and sports.

When the food was finished Adam started his little speech, telling his future brother-in-laws how he appreciated the relationship they had all shared and being straight forward about his feelings for their older (and only) sister Andrea. He asked their permission before he had spoke to Andrea's father!

After hugs all around and a few strange looks from people in other booths - Adam stuck them with one last question. He looked at both of them and said "Now's the time . . . if you've got a beef with me - lay it down on the table, so I know ahead of time." Through still teary eyes they both gave him the final sibling "ok" and Adam was on his way to speak with the other man in Andrea's life - her Daddy.
